Yep, we still have to celebrate Banned Books Week, and more so than ever. Books and the right to read are under attack in schools and libraries across the country, from Catcher in the Rye and The Hate U Give to the Captain Underpants series. We do our part at Shaker Mill Books to highlight these titles, and with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure. The American Booksellers Association Free Expression Initiative has declared the theme of this year's banned books celebration as "Books United Us. Censorship Divides Us." We couldn't agree more.
